2022 gab der Star-Schlagzeuger erstmals in seiner Karriere ein reines Solo-Konzert. Grund genug, noch einmal darüber nachzudenken, wie man mit Rhythmusinstrumenten spannende Musik macht. Die Erfahrung hatte auch Einfluß auf sein neues Album, auf dem sein Drumming tatsächlich anders klingt als bisher: Man hat das Gefühl, daß die Musik wirklich vom Schlagzeug ausgeht – allerdings ohne dem Instrument eine überproportionale Präsenz zu geben. Die Mitmusiker haben selbstverständlich viel Raum, die Kernband aus Trompeter Sebastian Studnitzky, Gitarrist Arto Mäkelä und Bassist Thomas Stieger ebenso wie die Gäste, darunter Nils Landgren, Shantel, Bill Evans und Dominic Miller.
