Wer die früheren Jacintha-Alben kennt, wird sich nicht über ein Bossa-Album wundern: Denn obwohl die Sängerin sich bislang hauptsächlich dem Fach der Jazz-Ballade gewidmet hat, steht es doch außer Frage, daß ihre Stimme sich auch für dieses Genre hervorragend eignet – und so ist es auch. Die im Titel zitierte bekannteste aller Bossa-Nummern fehlt übrigens (sympathisch, finde ich); dafür gibt es zehn andere Klassiker der Genre-Götter Jobim, Bonfa und Valle zu hören. Das klingt gar nicht so nostalgisch nach Getz/Gilberto, wie man meinen sollte: Ihr Arrangeur und Pianist Bill Cunliffe sorgte mal wieder sehr geschmackssicher für ein klassisch-modernes Jazz-Gewand.
