Rezension

Die norwegische Violinistin Marianne Thorsen, Jahrgang 1972, ist neben ihrer Heimat vor allem in England aktiv. Einen internationalen Ruf hat sie vor allem als Kammermusikerin (etwa als Gründungsmitglied des international gefeierten Leopold String Trios) – was sie zur idealen Solistin für den schlanken, hochdifferenzierten Klang der Trondheimsolistene macht. Die bisher erfolgreichste Zusammenarbeit war 2009 die Aufnahme der Mozart-Konzerte 3-5 für das 2L-Label, u.a. mit dem Spelleman-Preis (dem norwegischen Grammy) ausgezeichnet und allenthalben begeisterte Reaktionen auslösend (das US-Magazin Stereophile nahm die Aufnahme in seine exklusive "Records To Die For"-Liste auf!). Immerhin zwei der drei Konzerte liegen nun als Analog-Edition vor. Glasklar und präzise ist dieser Mozart – dabei aber alles andere als blutleer oder technisiert, sondern so strahlend-charmant wie elegant; süß, doch nicht sentimental. Thorsens Spiel (da zeigt sich die Ensemble-Spielerin) ist dabei angenehm frei von solistischen Manierismen – sie läßt die Musik einfach für sich selbst sprechen, der Ausdruck scheint aus dem Nichts zu kommen. Vorbildlich ist hier allerdings nicht nur die musikalische Seite: Das Klangbild ist geradezu stupend detailliert, dabei vor allem an Ausgewogenheit kaum zu übertreffen. Mozart in Idealform.
